I coach athletes who know that strength training isn't optional in endurance sport—it's the foundation. My background is in strength and conditioning first: over 16 years as a personal trainer before I became a triathlon coach. That combination is what shapes everything I do. I don't just build your swim-bike-run plan; I build the strength, durability, and resilience underneath it, so training adds to your life instead of breaking your body down.
For me, coaching isn't only about the numbers on race day. It's about understanding what's behind the goal—why *this* distance, why *now*—and building a plan that respects everything else you're carrying: your job, your family, your stress, your recovery.
Paired with TriDot's data-driven platform and a strength-training lens most endurance coaches don't bring, I get to know you: your goals, your health, your stress, and your life—and I adjust your plan as those things shift, because they always do. Consistency beats motivation, and habits beat willpower. That's the philosophy behind everything I coach.
Because I'm not only your coach. I'm your sounding board, your accountability partner.

A race is the goal on the calendar, but there's usually something deeper underneath it. Together, we uncover what's really driving the goal, and we build a plan around that purpose so it can carry you through the tough weeks, not just the good ones. A race may be the goal on the calendar, but there is usually something deeper behind it. Together, we uncover what you’re truly pursuing and build your training around a purpose that can sustain you through challenges, setbacks, and breakthroughs.

You're more than your watts, splits, and training load. You have a career, a family, and a life that has to keep running while you train for something big. I bring my strength and conditioning background into that equation—so your plan builds durability alongside fitness, and adjusts to your health, your stress, and your schedule, not the other way around.

You shouldn't have to guess what's next or wonder why strength work matters when you're already logging swim-bike-run hours. Using TriDot's data alongside my own racing and strength-coaching experience, I build a plan that's purposeful and individualized—one that connects each session, and each lift, to the bigger goal.

Progress takes honesty and consistency. I show up as your accountability partner—celebrating the wins, asking the hard questions, and pushing when it's time to push. It's never about perfection. It's about building the habit, not chasing the motivation.

Through our Grit2Greatness coaching community, you're never training alone. Alongside my fellow coaches Rich and KO, I invite every athlete I coach into monthly educational webinars, team meetings, and group chats—a place to learn from other athletes, celebrate each other's progress, and give and receive encouragement along the way.

I do my best work with ambitious, purpose-driven athletes who:
* Understand that strength training is part of the plan, not an afterthought
* Want a coach who thinks about durability and injury prevention, not just fitness
* Want a plan that fits around their work and family, not one that competes with it
* Are willing to be honest about their health, stress, and recovery, not just their splits
* Want accountability and encouragement, not just a training calendar
* Are excited to be part of a team, not just an individual plan
* Are ready to build the habit and trust the process, not chase motivation
You don't need decades of racing behind you. You do need to be ready to do the work—and let me help you do it well and stay strong doing it.
